Branxholme Castle is one of those places that stops you in your tracks. Tucked just outside Hawick, its 16th-century tower and elegant 19th-century remodelling make it a landmark full of character.
With the offering hotel accommodation, spa and beauty facilities, lunches and events, and now being remodelled as a stunning wedding venue, the contractors needed a safe, reliable scaffold solution that would let them get on with some fairly intricate restoration work. That’s where we came in.
At M8 Scaffolding, projects like this play to our strengths. We designed and erected a full scaffold to give the team access to the entire front elevation so they could strip back the tired render and apply a fresh finish.
The building had begun to show its age, so safe and steady access was essential. We also built secure walkways around the chimneys, allowing one to be removed and another carefully repaired. While we were there, we provided access for masonry repairs across the façade.
