Supporting a changing construction project from one stage to the next
Long-term scaffolding support for AMA Construction
Sometimes a job comes to us halfway through.
M8 Scaffolding was asked to step in and complete an ongoing project for AMA Construction after the original scaffolder sadly passed away.
That meant picking up an existing scaffold, understanding what had already been built and making sure the remaining work could continue safely without disrupting the wider construction programme.
This isn’t a quick job either.
The project is expected to run for around seven months, with the scaffold remaining in place and changing as the building progresses. Because the structure itself is steel-framed, AMA needed sections kept clear while the steelwork went in, then M8 returned to alter and extend the scaffold once those areas became available.
So the scaffold has had to move with the job.
That means regular coordination with the contractor, careful alterations and making sure each new stage still gives the trades the access they need without compromising safety. Long-term projects rarely stay exactly as they looked on day one.
That’s why being available to adapt the scaffold as the build develops is just as important as getting it right in the first place.
