Scaffold for Roof Repairs Salen Hotel, Acharacle

A hotelier in Acharacle, on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Scottish Highlands, contacted us to explain that they had issues with water ingress and they required our support to build a suitable and safe working area for the contractor to access the eaves and to repair an area of the chimney.

What made the project interesting was trying not to use bolts to fix into the stonework, which would damage the characterful brick of the hotel. We designed a free-standing scaffold which could allow access around the full front of the building and to the side above a cottage, to then also access the roof.

This is another project where our team were lucky enough to be offered overnight accommodation and hospitality in order to allow them to make a last-minute change that the construction company asked for. We enjoyed working on this project and found the staff and owners to be a credit to their business. We hope to be back in the area soon, as a number of scaffolding enquiries have been made to us as a result of this job.
