Scaffolding for Gourock church roof refurbishment project.
We were recently approached to provide a temporary roof for the Baptist Community Church building on King Street in Gourock. The roof had weathered over the years, and a roofing contractor contacted us from a client recommendation to provide an engineered roof to wrap the building whilst they took each side off.
The church continued to be used at weekends, so we had to secure the front and make it safe with netting to ensure no debris fell onto the public footpath. A scaffold street permit was applied for.
The build of the scaffold coincided with storm Éowyn, and the structure and roof did their job and stayed strong. A few sheeting panels came loose and were reattached at the start of January, and the project just finished this week. The roof looks amazing, and we are glad to have been able to play our part in its construction.
